Buying $GAUGE

Forward specification

This page describes the intended design, not shipped software. The only behaviour live on-chain today is synthetic position creation. The $GAUGE token, bonds, staking, liquidity pools and mining, trading, liquidation, and oracle mechanics described across these pages are specified but not built or deployed. See Technical overview.

All buying and selling of $GAUGE happens on the open market: through an AMM pool that pairs $GAUGE with a collateral asset. The protocol never sells the token directly; there is no presale, no allocation round, and no "buy from GAUGE" button.

How to buy

Open the Swap page in the GAUGE app and select the $GAUGE pool.
Enter the amount you want to spend. The app shows the $GAUGE you receive and the price impact.
Approve the router for the token you are spending, then confirm the swap and sign.

Other ways to acquire it

Liquidity mining · earn it by staking LP tokens.
Bonds · buy it below market price, vesting over a term.

Verify the token

Until launch there is no real $GAUGE. After launch, only trade the contract address published under Contracts & addresses. Imitation tokens with the same ticker are common.
